been browsing deviantart of cool adventure time stuff and I stumbled across this. Thankyou. This is the most emotional marceline iceking picture Ive ever seen. He has such a powerful and protective stance over her, while she looks frightened as hell, like she doesnt quite know whats going on, or what will happen. Im kind of glad I dont see ice kings face. I think it would scare me and upset me. I'd love to know what happens next because its left in such a full-action frame. its beautiful. again, thankyou, you capture the emotion perfectly

I imagine that on noticing the planes he would have been tempted to give in to despair that even after all the destruction, there are people still fighting. But he would have known that he couldn't - that he had to protect Marcy. And so, he sacrifices more of his mind to keep her safe.
